These Community Guidelines (“Guidelines”) set the standards of conduct for everyone who uses Tablemate. They are part of our Terms of Service and work with our Privacy Policy, Safety Policy, and Game Host Rules.
Violations may result in content removal, feature restrictions, suspension, permanent ban, and referral to law enforcement. We may enforce at our sole discretion and are not obligated to warn first for severe violations.

2. ELIGIBILITY AND ACCOUNTS
2.1 21+ only. You and everyone at your games must be 21 or older.
2.2 One person, one account. No ban evasion, shared accounts, or sock puppets.
2.3 Real identity. Use your real identity for verification. No impersonation, stolen photos, or fake names intended to deceive.
2.4 Verification. Complete ID verification when required. Do not submit another person’s documents or altered IDs.
2.5 Geographic rules. Do not spoof GPS, use VPNs, or lie about location to bypass market or California eligibility checks for game features.
3. PROFILES AND DISCOVERY
3.1 Photos — recent, recognizable photos of you; no violent, sexual, or hateful imagery.
3.2 Usernames & bios — no slurs, impersonation of brands/celebrities, or misleading claims (e.g., “official Tablemate staff”).
3.3 Legal vs. display names — follow in-app display name rules. Do not use display names to harass or impersonate.
3.4 Search & follows — do not spam follows, mass-message strangers, or scrape profiles.
3.5 Blocking — respect blocks. Do not harass users through alternate accounts or off-platform contact after a block.
4. GAME LISTINGS AND ATTENDANCE
4.1 Accurate listings — correct date, time, city, stakes, capacity, game type (cash, tournament, etc.), and material rules in notes.
4.2 No bait-and-switch — do not change stakes, venue type, or rules materially without clear notice to approved players.
4.3 Cancellations — cancel promptly in the app and notify players if plans change.
4.4 No-shows — if you cannot attend, cancel or message the host. Repeated no-shows harm the community and may lead to restrictions.
4.5 Waitlists — hosts may manage waitlists; players must not game waitlist systems or harass hosts for admission.
4.6 Illegal games — do not list or join games illegal in the jurisdiction where they occur.
5. COMMUNICATION
5.1 In-app messaging — be respectful. No spam, threats, sexual harassment, hate speech, or sending malware links.
5.2 Group / game chats — stay on topic; no bullying, pile-ons, or sharing others’ private information.
5.3 Off-platform pressure — do not require players to leave the app for payments or communication as a condition of entry before trust is established (see scams in Safety Policy).
5.4 Marketing — no unsolicited promotion of businesses, other apps, or gambling sites.
6. IN-PERSON CONDUCT
6.1 Host’s home, host’s rules — reasonable house rules must be followed or leave.
6.2 Guests — attend only if approved. No “plus ones” unless allowed.
6.3 Alcohol & drugs — follow host rules and law. No illegal substances.
6.4 Violence & weapons — zero tolerance for violence, threats, or unauthorized weapons.
6.5 Recording — obtain consent before recording others where required.
6.6 Leave when unsafe — players and hosts may end participation when safety is at risk.
7. FAIR PLAY
7.1 No cheating — including collusion, signaling, marked cards, chip dumping, or software aids.
7.2 Stakes — agree before play. No pressuring others into higher stakes or loans.
7.3 Money disputes — resolve between parties; Tablemate does not hold funds or adjudicate pots.
7.4 Reviews — honest, experience-based reviews only. No review bribery, extortion, or retaliation campaigns.
8. PRIVACY AND DATA
8.1 Game addresses — confidential. No screenshots to social media, no sharing with unapproved people.
8.2 Personal data — do not dox, publish phone numbers, or share financial account details.
8.3 Platform security — no sharing OTP codes, passwords, or session tokens; no attempts to hack Tablemate or other users.
9. HOSTS (SUMMARY)
Hosts must comply with Game Host Rules, including:
ID-verified hosting eligibility;
Safe, authorized venues;
Non-discriminatory seat decisions;
Transparent stakes and rules;
Removing unsafe guests and reporting serious incidents.
10. PROHIBITED CONDUCT (ZERO TOLERANCE EXAMPLES)
Harassment, hate speech, sexual assault, stalking, or threats
Violence or brandishing weapons
Fraud, scams, impersonation, identity theft
Cheating or collusion
Sharing private addresses or entry codes improperly
Minors at games or on the platform
Circumventing bans, verification, or geofencing
False reports or abuse of reporting to harass
Retaliation against reviewers or reporters
Discrimination in access to games or treatment at games
11. REPORTING AND ENFORCEMENT
11.1 Report via in-app tools or support@tablemate.site (“Safety Report” or “Guidelines Violation”).
11.2 We may warn, restrict, suspend, ban, remove content, or contact authorities.
11.3 Appeals — email support@tablemate.site with “Appeal,” your account email, and a concise explanation. We may deny repetitive or bad-faith appeals. Decisions are final except where law requires otherwise.
11.4 No entitlement — we do not guarantee a particular enforcement outcome for any report.
12. CHANGES
We may update these Guidelines. Continued use after the posted Effective Date constitutes acceptance.
